The Heirloom Project

The Heirloom Project looks at surviving objects of interest that hold a tangible connection to a victim or survivor from the Jungfernhof concentration camp. These objects were never at the camp, however their connection to the victim or survivor has been preserved. Some of these objects changed hands and continents many times, crossing multiple generations. The Heirloom Project will present the intimate stories provided by survivors and descendants, surrounding each object. The objects will be animated with VR technology, allowing the viewer to see the object from different points of view. The Heirloom Project presents a fresh opportunity for families to remember and be remembered. The unusual selection of objects is another curious phenomenon of the larger project.
